Fred Chu is a NYC based cellist. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Cello Performance from the Manhattan School of Music, where he studied under Marion Feldman.
Performance venues have included the Galapagos Art Space, Carnegie Hall, Manhattan's Highline Ballroom, the Bitter End, and the New Jersey Performing Arts Center.
Past accolades include winning the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Competition, the NYU String/Composer Collaboration Project with composer Alex Bornstein, and as a finalist in the Bergen Philharmonic Concerto Competition.
Outside of music, Fred plays an unfortunate amount of Ultimate Frisbee, meanders about the city with his dog, Margo, and holds a J.D. from St. John's University School of Law.
